Sarah Paramore has taken on the important role of Safeguarding Officer for WBC and brings significant experience and knowledge to the task. She is supported by Gary Spracklen as Deputy Safeguarding Officer

Safeguarding means protecting a citizens health, wellbeing and human rights; enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. Safeguarding children, young people and adults is a collective responsibility.

Here at WBC we take Safeguarding very seriously. Disclosure and Barring Service Checks are one of the key safeguarding systems in place . 


If you know that you need a DBS Check or want to find out whether you need a DBS please contact Gary Paramore at dbsverifier@weychurch.co.uk.  


I need to remind you that leaders and helpers will not be able to work unattended if they do not hold a valid DBS.

The government Prevent Duty training courses are designed, and are appropriate for, staff working in sectors covered by the Prevent duty. These include education, health, local authorities, police and criminal justice agencies.
